Judy has had a passion for art from her very early years. She was influenced by her mother, a watercolor artist. Judy is a self-taught artist and photographer which is the root for her creativity. She is first an artist -- heart, soul, and eyes. She Judy has been deeply engaged in art since 2008. Her gallery of work is eclectic, colorful, and beyond creative. Her art career began in retirement and she has blossomed with the creative possibilities discovered in the digital realm. Â Judy makes her home in rural Oregon and finds great inspiration in her natural surroundings. Some of her favorites are flowers, rocks, trees, and creeks and streams. In her quest for inspiration and innovation she travels to fascinating natural sights as provocation for her art. Judy's heart and creativity are her way of expressing harmony and a sense of the divine order of our universe.

my original image was that of a sunrise scene on the oregon coast, mostly pink and several shades thereof. i developed that image in several digital processes with the goal of making a soft, dreamy abstract image. the title came about as this looked like a boat to float in while dreaming. this is a panoramic or wide format artwork that would compliment any room hanging on a central focus wall. prints available. see more at www.footeprintart.com
burns, oregon ... rural ranch in eastern oregon with an original, still standing, old barn now abandoned. i digitally developed my original photo into a watercolor image for an artistic effect. Burns is a city in and the county seat of Harney County, in the U.S. state of Oregon. According to the 2010 census, the population was 2,806. Burns and the nearby city of Hines are home to about 60 percent of the people in the sparsely populated county, by area the largest in Oregon and the ninth largest in the United States. The Burns–Hines region has a high-desert climate but was much wetter in the recent geologic past. The Harney Basin was the largest of many depressions in which lakes formed in southeastern Oregon during the late Pleistocene. Remnants of an ancient lake that reached as far north as Burns are at the center of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, south of the city. northern Paiutes or their ancestors, who were hunter-gatherers, have lived in the region for thousands of years. Since the arrival of Euro-Americans in the 19th century, cattle ranching and other forms of agriculture have dominated land use in the area. In 1930, logging in the mountains north of Burns led to the creation of Hines, a lumber company town, and the timber industry remained important to the local economy until the 1990s. In addition to ranching, a variety of private and public enterprises support the Burns–Hines economy in the 21st century. a nestled nook in the forest, long ago abandoned and now no longer standing. trout creek ranch in klamath county, oregon, has been engulfed by the fremont-winema forest. this work is a revisit to one of my early and favorite photos shot in the outdoors locally. i used topaz lab to create the abstracted effect and the fall colors. this is a nice wall hanging for mood or atmosphere creation especially now as autumn approaches. prints available. see more at www.footeprintart.com
woodburn, oregon ... wooden shoe tulip farm. Woodburn is a city in Marion County, Oregon, United States. Incorporated in 1889, the community had been platted in 1871 after the arrival of the railroad. The city is located in the northern end of the Willamette Valley between Portland and Salem. Originally, the area around Woodburn was inhabited by the Kalapuya Native Americans. After the Provisional Government of Oregon set-up land claims in the Oregon Country, the United States annexed much of the Pacific Northwest and established the Oregon Territory in 1848. Originally, the town and station were called Halsey, but the name was changed to Woodburn due to the existence of Halsey, Oregon, further down the valley. The name Woodburn came about after a slash burn that got out of control and burned down a nearby woodlot in the 1880s, after the railroad line had been laid through the area. sprague river, oregon ... in my garden. a wonderful, cheerful image to use as accent in pink atmosphere or painted/decorated space. A garden is a planned space, usually outdoors, set aside for the cultivation, display, and enjoyment of plants and other forms of nature. The single feature identifying even the wildest wild garden is control. The garden can incorporate both natural and artificial materials. The etymology of the word gardening refers to enclosure: it is from Middle English gardin, from Anglo-French gardin, jardin, of Germanic origin; akin to Old High German gard, gart, an enclosure or compound, as in Stuttgart. The term "garden" in British English refers to a small enclosed area of land, usually adjoining a building.
