The enchanting birth of Aphrodite, the beauty of the sea and power of the waves are depicted in this abstraction. Confident and mysterious look of Aphrodite is facing the viewer, while partly-covered with a wave, it maintains its secrecy. The water currents via the strokes of a palette knife direct the water flow through her delicate body and repeat her movement. With each step the distance to the observer decreases and the fantasy of meeting the beauty brings up positive emotions and the mystery of this promise. The artwork is made with oil paint, the edges are painted and the painting can be hung without a frame. The strokes done with a palette knife give volume and expression to the painted lines.
