Edward Meanley

Edward is a member of the Pastel Society of Southeast Texas, The Art League of Fortbend, and the Brenham Fine Art League. He and his wife live on a hobby farm, 50 miles West of Houston. Edward started painting after he retired from his oil industry, geophysics career in 2001. He has sketched and taken artistic photographs since childhood, and he has applied artistic graphics to his geophysics imagery. These were helpful foundations for his painting. He paints with oils, acrylics, watercolor and pastel. His topics include landscapes, still life and figures. His style is mostly representative art with occasional abstract realism. He gets inspiration from local settings and world travels.
