Danny Mattijetz

Danny became deeply interested in sculpting after retiring from his normal business job. His first experience in sculpture was taking a piece of stone and carving it into a work of art. Determined to improve the quality of his stone sculptures, he created clay maquettes for working out design and structural details. Ultimately, he found that the clay itself offered greater opportunity for fine detail, which is what coaxed him into sculpture in the first place. With the application of a faux-bronze finish as well as other types of finishes, his sculptures reached a level of quality that satisfied his artistic eye.
