BIOGRAPHY.

Yefim Shestik was born in Ukraine in 1954.
Member of Israeli Painters& sculptors association.
Works and creates in Northern Israel.
EDUCATION
In 1971 he graduates the high school with the diploma
In 1973 I emigrated from Ukraine to Israel
From 1979 until 1981 he studied Graphics in
Haifa, where he graduated with a diploma in Graphic Design.
from 1982 until 1985, he studied Art History, Sculpture, Painting, Sketching, Drawings, Art Photography, Printing
at the Fine Arts School of Beer-Sheva graduated in 1985 with honors and was qualified as a Senior Art
Instructor. In 1995, after completing teaching courses, he received an art teacher diploma.
From 2000 until 2005 studied architecture at Bruda College in Carmiel and earned a degree in Architecture Engineering.
From 2009 until June 2010 studied Graphics programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Flash, and Dreamweaver In Carmiel, where he graduated with a diploma in graphics and web design.

MY ART STATEMENT

I believe that an artist is a public person, who has to act responsibly.
By creating the art an artist has to make influence people's consciousness. Artists should attempt to return universal values to their hearts.
These are my role and philosophy. In every object, I create, I am embodying my soul, my feelings, and my ideas, and my object becomes life energy, which I believe should have a positive influence on people's souls and minds.
Every object can be turned into a masterpiece in a master's hands and contribute to human civilization,
if the art contains universal values.

MY ART

Most of my artworks explore the relationship between the world of human nature, feelings, and imagination.
Living in a modern dynamic world I am creating modern vibrant art.
The theme of my Art :
Love, Ballet dancing, Peace and War, Birds, Jewish motives, and other motives.
I create artworks mostly are in bronze sculptures and paintings,
But sometimes I create also drawings and digital art.
Bronze sculptures I begin to create in 1987 and I do manually all works including patina, except the bronze casting.
From the very beginning of my exhibitions, I get very favorable responses from the public, who relished my work and encouraged me to go on to other media.
My works of art do not rely on style, styles are for me just a means to make my art life, and because of it,
I am practicing many styles in my art.
I am creating realistic art, surrealistic art, figurative abstracted art, and abstracted art and I have created a huge 50 sq.m
symbolic performance named " Chess against the War".
My main motive is humanity. My main concern in doing my sculptures is to convey my feelings to the public, to express warmth,
sensuality, sensitivity, a joy of life, love, togetherness, tenderness, strength, and motion.
In creating my art usually most common forms and objects, I am transforming into unusual objects and forms with
different symbolic meanings from the original object.
Looking at my artworks you can see abstract, realistic, surrealistic, and symbolic art.

PARTICIPATION IN FINE ART EXHIBITIONS

PERSONAL EXHIBITIONS

1. In the year 1985, I exposed my Art in a solo exhibition, which took place in the town of Karmiel in the Union Building,
where I exposed my paintings, drawings, sculptures, and Performance size 50 sq. m named "Chess against War."
It is Performance 3-D dimensions artwork. In which, an audience, takes part in my artwork, stepping into my painting, and leaving their traces.
This means that each of us leaving our traces in the world chess game is responsible for what happens around us and in our whole world.
This Artwork, named "Chess against War " is based on Shakespeare's statement " All World -is a stage, all people - players ".
The artwork has been created in different art techniques and mediums,
He has drawn on a nylon floor(49 square meters) false three-angle perspective.
Black and white chess cells come to an end to an opposite black wall at the beginning of the white Silhouette's feet. Silhouette
cares for the wounded in a had chess soldier, expressing pity.
In the left corner, two chess armies (ceramics about 50 cm tall) In black color are standing in the black area facing each other, ready to start the war.
In the right corner, there are broken chess pieces expressing the result of the war. .,

2. In the year 1986, I exposed my Art in solo exhibitions, which took place at Karmiel
3. In the year 1997, I exposed my Art in a solo exhibition at the Haifa area gallery Bait Nagler, exhibiting Drawings, Paintings, and sculptures.
4. In September 2009, personal exhibitions in Haifa Chagall Gallery, exhibited paintings and bronze sculptures.
In January 2010, exhibitions at Karmiel in Karmiel Municipal Gallery exhibited paintings and bronze sculptures, and digital art.
5. From the date of 15 September until 5 November 2010, He had a personal Exhibition in the town of Keriat Haim State Israel.
6. From date18 December until 8 February 2011, He has a personal Exhibition in the town ZeFat State Israel.

1. For the first time, in the year 1980, participated in collective Art exhibitions in the Culture and Sports Building in the town of Karmiel, where I was exhibiting my Drawings, Paintings, and Ceramic sculptures.
2. In the year 1983, participated in collective Art exhibitions, which took place in the town of Carmiel.
3. In the year 1983, participated in collective Israeli state Art exhibitions, which took place at the South in the town of Yeruham.
4. In the year 1985, participated in collective Art exhibitions, which took place in Tel- Aviv town in the Helena Rubinstein museum.

7. In the year 2009, participated in collective fine Art exhibitions at Haifa in the Congress Building at Tel-Aviv in the Asia Building,
at Jerusalem in the Jerar Bahar Building
8. In the year 2009, participated in the International art exhibition"TROFEO DI CAPODANNO 2009" in Italy.
He presented the photograph of a symbolic performance named " Chess against the War".
and was awarded a prize for promoting Peace in the World.
