POSITIVE THOUGHTS

posted by Ralph White

“You’ve done it before and you can do it now. See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination.” – Ralph Marston ~ In the midst of the unrest and contention in this world, it’s easy to feel discouraged or hopeless. Even a glimmer of something good can get overshadowed by the next [anticipated] shattering event. This painting is called Positive Thoughts. It is a picture of optimism as it features a glimmer of joy and releases positivity. It shines with bright colors and exudes cheerfulness. It proposes a willingness in each of us to see past the darkness by creating an awareness to the positive things that are happening despite the negativity in the world. Explore the possibilities…

FAMILY - EVOLUTION OF MY STYLE

posted by Anna Maria Giordano

Same inspiration and subject, different interpretation. But in both cases arises my sense of decency, that takes me to suggest, but not underline, the feelings. Family (2014): tidy background, people nearly transformed metaphysically into objects, soft colors that call for reflection, respect for the elders. The family is a traditional one, the picture a little bit less. Family 2 (2016); background processed, people ideally transformed into human figures without clothes, bright colors that call for strong feelings, conjugal and parental love. The family is modern and uninhibited, the picture a little bit less.

GLOBAL TEARS

posted by ShaLonda Chisholm

Mothers who can no longer hold their babies Powerless to embrace through the final cry: SAVE ME! Tears flowing…for the broken world It’s said the eye is the window to the soul We can see a world spinning violently out of control With nothing to offer for the families we console Except tears that can never ever make them whole Tears flowing…for the broken world Separation of black and white Wronging each other for no other reason but out of spite Because whether we praise Allah or follow Christ God is frowning at our blinded sight Tears flowing…for the broken world Why? Why can’t we pull together? Vengeance is the storm we can never weather Tears flowing…for the broken world
