Jyelle is a French-born visual artist whose creative journey has been shaped by life in France, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Her work is distinguished by a deep sensitivity to color and a fascination with the emotional resonance it can evoke. Drawing inspiration from the poetic vision of Rimbaud’s “Voyelle Colors,” the intricate beauty of floral patterns, and the spontaneity of abstract expressionism, Jyelle’s paintings invite viewers to reflect on their own memories and experiences with nature.
Her compositions often balance structure and freedom, echoing her belief that art can reveal the subtle harmonies within life’s complexity. Through her art, Jyelle seeks to foster a sense of wonder and contemplation, encouraging each viewer to find their own story within her work.
Jyelle’s paintings have been exhibited in France (La Rochelle, St Savinien, Nice) and internationally, including virtual and in-person shows in New York, Amsterdam, and Santa Fe. She is a member of the Circle Foundation for the Arts (Santa Barbara, USA) and has received several distinctions, including the “Masterful Mind” award (CFA, 2024), “Creative Excellence” (Santa Fe International Exhibition, 2024), and finalist status at Art Expo New York (2025) and the San Diego Art Fair (2025). My dreams are inspired from Mother Nature' creativity, and nurtured by my imagination and fantasies. I use oils to convey sensuality and depth, rich and vivid colours sweep through the paintings to convey moods and atmosphere. I use the limitless boundaries of abstract expressionism, allowing me to travel easily between fiction and reality. Come and dream with me...

During a sleepless night the vision of a bouquet floating over a purple table cloth imprinted itself on my canvas. And vividly coloured petals and buds mingled tenderly with delicate leaves. The pale grey background allows the colors of the bouquet to stand out gracefully.

On the age-old, erosion molded mountains of Alsace rest innumerable vineyards, and picturesque villages nestle comfortably in the valleys...dear memories I wanted to lay down on canvas, and join in my own way the song of the minstrels who travelled along the winding roads between the vineyards from town to village...

Sounds and colours mingle playfully around a French horn
A medieval mandolin sings its melody, and vibrations turn into sounds and colours , expressing their hapiness creating new flowers

Le poète Rimbaud parlait de la correspondance entre les couleurs et les sons, et en re-lisant ce magnifique poème il m'est venu de peindre une guitare qui chantait et vibrait au son de ses accords.
Living by the seaside myself, I felt compelled to present several views from inside a home, looking through a wide-open window at the sea view below.
Henri Matisse inspired me greatly for the interiors, I felt the need to add the presence of the sea in different moods. Of course, imaginary plants find cosily their place in the decor.

“In the Ink of the night they wrote their name”
This painting reflects the chaos and beauty of nature, reminding us that even in disorder there is a certain grace. Eachl stroke is a celebration of life's complexity, the intricate patterns of the fleeing flowers invite the viewer to explore their detail.
Free from the chains trying to keep them in the darkness, vibrantly colourful flowers fly towards the light at the end of the tunnel.
Memories of childhood in Alsace, a wonderful medley of sprawling vineyards, medieval castles standing watch on hill tops, and the marked passage of seasons, each bringing its joys and comforts.....I wanted to share the coming of Spring, of Autumn and of Winter through the eye of Time, using the perspective of a castle gothic window in Sand stone.
Framed by a whimsical window, "Autumn Grumblings" captures the shifting spirit of the season. Beyond the soft pink sandstone wall, vineyards blaze with the last colors of fall, while distant hills and brooding clouds hint at change in the air. The cosy interior with its potted plants offerts comforts as autumn's winds begin to stir. I hope this painting invites you to pause, reflect, and find beauty in the gentle unrest of the turning year
A hush has fallen over the hills and the fields, as if the world is holding it's breath. The bare tree in the foreground, it's branches etched with snow stands as a silent witness to the Seasons quiet power. Soft pink walls and red- tiled roofs peek from beneath their frosted blankets, offering a sense of shelter and warmth against the cold. Beyond, the vineyards and the distant village are softened by a silvery mist., their colors muted, their edges muted by winter's touch. The sky is heavy with brooding clouds, hinting at snow yet to fall. There's a subtle melancholy here- a pause, a waiting, a sense of stories held close and dreams sleeping beneath the surface. In this painting I invite you to linger in the still need, to listen for the silence Of the snow, and to remember the comforts Of home on a winter's day.
Seen through a castle window, summer unfolds, ripé with life. Vineyards bask in the sun, and the village glows with the promise Of long, golden days. Each detail- a blossoming tree, a winding path, a cluster of cheerful homes- invites you to linger in the warmth of memory and the joy of the present moment.
