For her upcoming show, Monika Uchiyama, the Writers Art Gallery presents her new video installation, "Survey." The work, which explores the coping mechanisms of women, was inspired by her studies at a wax factory in Tokyo. Uchiyama captured the love and labor that go into making wax and the sustainability of handmade products through generations. She is a recipient of several awards and fellowships.
