Ray Eric Phillips by Ray Eric Phillips

In my oil paintings I have always painted for enjoyment and give a message out to the viewer. NB. The painting 'The Harvesters' was taken from a black and white photograph appearing in the Guardian newspaper under the title...Country Diary 1920: harvest gleaning in Buckinghamshire borders -Farming. I added a new background to the painting. I have a lovely letter from the late Queen of England who viewed the painting and was very impressed. I have the letter framed.
