The Imaginary Vase by Frank Ozereko

These Prints are Trace prints, a type of monoprint.

The prints in this display are taken from my “Imaginary Vases” series. Because I also work in ceramics, the “imaginary vases” theme is appealing to me because the prints represent forms that could never be made using clay. It is exciting to work in two and three-dimensional work in which the restrictions and potential of each media influences the other.

The works are Trace Prints, a type of Monoprint. Each print is unique, though the process allows me to create “suites” of work that relate to each other. Each of these prints also uses collage techniques.

The first image, Yellow Assembly, is one piece made up of 12 separate pieces. It is seven feet square. This represents some of the newer ideas that i am interesed - making larger, almost wall size decorative pieces.

Other work can be viewed on my website: www.ozereko.com.
