Oil painter, Shizuko Ogikubo was born in Saitama Prefecture in 1939 and she creates works that compel the viewer to feel “the force of living” through her use of colors. Among her works are also paintings that she created, with a profound sense of love, after her husband passed away. She is also known as a teacher of traditional Japanese clothing.
