My work stems from an interest in organic form and growth represented with, and in contrast to, synthetic materials. I find it ironic that no matter how much we exist with, and are surrounded by nature, we can never represent it accurately. It is because of this irony that I do not attempt to replicate natural forms, but try to bring attention to them through pattern, color, and line.

I graduated from Colorado State University with a BFA in drawing in 2013.

L'energia

Currently, my work has been examining, not only natural growth and pattern, but the energy that these forms invoke. I want the viewer to feel the movement of the stream, the bumps from the tree, or the effort of growth from the organism.
