Inger Jirby

Inger Jirby was born in the north of Sweden, above the Arctic Circle, in the land of the midnight sun. She studied at Konstfack in Stockholm, at Ecole de Beux Arts in Paris, Art Students League in Paris, and she studied color for David Barbero at the College of Santa Fe. She also studied privately in Greece, for the Mexican Painter Loius Orosco.

She lived all over Europe until she met her husband, and they moved to New York City. She is an international artist who has exhibited all over Europe and in the United States. Inger is represented in prominent collections worldwide, and in the permanent collections of six major museums.

She has her gallery and Guest Houses in the center of Taos, New Mexico, on Historic Ledoux Street. It is located in an Historic building she has renovated, since 18 years back.
