Mali Klein

I sculpt and paint with paperpulp that I make from various kinds of paper, both existing and self-made, and sometimes with the addition of other natural ingredients. This results in many layers, pigments and reliƫf to create dynamics and energy. Foremost is that the paper remains obviously present; it is important that the material and method of working are recognizable. My work is natural, organic, not polished. My visual language is mainly figurative, and I use organic forms a lot. I often combine multiple disciplines: art, design, fashion and utensil.
