CREATURES OF LIGHT I don’t find any pleasure in representing things that are already in the world, human figure, portraits landscapes etc. The way I see it, is that if I’m given the opportunity to be creator, why don’t take it and CREATE ! Create new life forms, new worlds, new textures and feelings . I don’t feel the need to constraint myself to what is expected or accepted. The risk of this, is to create art that is uncomfortable at times and maybe not well accepted, but for me it is a risk worth taken, what moves me is not the aim to create beautiful, pleasing objects but to add something new to the world, a new perspective, that’s why experimentation is a big part of my work. It takes a lot of time and perseverance, but it is a very exciting and rewarding process at the end… This body of work is the culmination of several years of experimenting with light, reflection, and the use of non-traditional materials. This long time quest has being a search for a technique that allowed me to move away from my preconceived ideas in painting, and above all, fulfill my desire to liberate form and take advantage of the magical, transformative qualities of light....
