My artwork is a fusion between object and imagination. This convergence allows me to create a composition that not only takes on a life of its own, but were the objects become interconnected in a very specific way. My desire is to take the viewer into an unexpected journey were all possibilities can and do become a reality.
I began my love affair with art as a very young child. Coming from an immigrant family were my parents struggled day to day, art became my escape into a place where my imagination had no limits. Crayons, paper, cardboard anything I could get my hands on were the doors to this amazing world. Until one day my mother brought me a box of "Paint By Numbers" and my life was never the same again! This love affair has continued throughout my entire life and has intensified with maturity and life experiences. My journey has been full of surprises and I have used these experiences to grow as an artist and a person. I dedicate my days completely to my art just as I did long ago as a child; and the love my family gives me everyday are the oils I use to paint.
The elements do not change nor does the space they occupy. We merely move in rhythm with a false sense of freedom inside its warm embrace. We begin to grow in stature and pretend we are not fractured by the setting of the sun as it rips away all memories of days that have long gone. The elements remain untouched with the passing of the day as the color on the ground begins to fade away. The elements hold on to their solid state and don't allow the fortunes to take a different fate. They linger in the air like a rare perfume that beckons you to bathe underneath the autumn moon. So we give into the elements and hope that they will pass, like the summer wind that blows apart the grass.
