Jenny Haslimeier

I am an award winning botanical artist based in Scotland and New Zealand.

I began drawing at a young age, where plants and wildlife were always the main subjects of my paintings. My early career was spent establishing myself as a graphic designer, later specialising in book design, while illustrating remained a hobby.

In 2014 I began the Botanical Illustration diploma at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Little did I know that in doing so, I would later refocus my career to become an illustrator. In 2016 I graduated from the course with distinction.

A keen traveller, I love to take inspiration from visiting different places around the world and incorporating my findings into my artwork.

I currently split my time between Edinburgh, Scotland and Auckland, New Zealand, painting, running botanical illustration workshops and (sometimes) designing and illustrating books.

I exhibits my work on a regular basis throughout the United Kingdom and New Zealand. You can see my current and upcoming exhibitions on my website.
