Fueled by an insatiable curiosity and love of nature and informed an academic background in evolutionary biology, I have been practicing as a self-taught visual artist since 2014. Through my work, I seek to capture the stunning beauty and intricacy of nature through highly detailed pen-and-ink drawings, vibrant watercolours and illustrated animal skulls in a modern take on natural history illustration. My work conveys the diversity of nature, the narrative of life, and strong conservation messages, infused with the fundamentals of natural science and science communication. In 2016 I was awarded the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize for emerging artists by the South Australian Museum. Following the prize, I have exhibited nationally and internationally, undertaking residencies in Italy, Berlin and Australia.

I have since formed and maintained a working relationship as an associate artist with the Hill Smith Gallery in Adelaide, holding my first solo show in 2017, and a joint show in 2019. As of March 2018, I have been working as a tutor with the NatureArt Lab at M16 ArtSpace in Canberra, teaching illustration techniques, scientific observation skills and nature-based art in both youth and adult classes.
