Portfolio:

Asia in a nutshell

These images are a part of a series I am presently photographing in Asia. While on my travels I have decided to start a collection of images where I can paint with light on a canvas or metal. COVID has brought a pause to my project, but am hoping to continue with it soon.

Circle of life “Circle of life”

Children playing at a waterfall in a river on the resort Island of Bali in Indonesia

The bull race “The bull race”

This image was captured on the Island of Jawa in Indonesia where they hold the Pacu Jawi (Bull Race). This is actually not a race but a way for the owners to show off their cattle which is up for auction. The event draws allot of local crowns and is pure raw energy.

The basket fisherman “The basket fisherman”

I made this frame of the Basket fisherman of Myanmar at Inlay lake where some people still follow the century old tradition of fishing by trapping fish in these baskets you see on the boat.

The traditional weaver “The traditional weaver”

A girl of the Kayan tribe (Long necked women) weaving scarves for sale to visitors of inlay. It is said that elongating their necks is a mark of beauty and has been passed down by generations.

The blue boy “The blue boy”

The blue boy was made in the township of Pushkar, Rajasthan, India on one of my visits during the traditional fair where people from all over come to trade their camels and horses. ON one special day they have a procession through the narrow streets of the town where I found this boy who was dressed up as a deity and collecting alms.
