Dr. Joe Ferry is Professor Emeritus at State University of New York. He is a 7-Time Grammy Nominated Record Producer, award winning author and filmmaker and critically acclaimed painter.

"East Village Other" was inspired by the renowned underground newspaper of the 1960s, The East Village Other. That newspaper was a favorite among the denizens (artists, musicians, college students and political activists) and was located in the East Greenwich Village section of New York City.
