Jeffrey Melzack

The visual arts has been my way to tell stories and explore the impact of my lived experiences. I think of myself as a storyteller/ artist. I started to seriously explore my visual ideas as a student at an art focused public high school in New York. During my enlistment in the U. S. Air Force I was trained as a technical illustrator. After the Air Force, I was accepted as a student at the Tufts University/ School if the Museum of Fine Arts Boston. I also worked as a technical illustrator at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council for several years before turning to education. I was an art educator for almost thirty years. I’ve been exhibiting my work since the mid 1970’s through several galleries in Boston, Cambridge MA and New York. In 1987 I was honored as Massachusetts Art Teacher of the Year and have received several awards and reviews for my creative work. A selection of my work can be seen at my website: melzackartworks.com
