Marlin Greene

Born in the US in Washington, DC, grew up in Alabama and presently live in Seattle, WA. Self taught. I have been actively pursuing photography and digital printing for twenty years. I strive to differentiate my photographs by drawing from my years of experience in graphic design and computer graphics. Every image begins as a photograph from nature—they are not computer generated—they are computer modified. The color palette of most images can be modified to compliment an environment if desired.

Blues in the Night “Blues in the Night”

Moody dark image suitable for viewing with heavy blues music playing.

Sunken Treasure “Sunken Treasure”

Designed to invoke image of a container box - some past merchandise perhaps - now resting on the sea floor with debris scattered about.

Lava Flow “Lava Flow”

This image began as photograph of black lava rock. I added the fire element to bring it to life.

Last Starfish in Puget Sound “Last Starfish in Puget Sound”

This image began as a photograph of one of the last starfish we saw slowly dying on the shoreline rocks from climate change.

Martian Landscape “Martian Landscape”

This image started out as a beach landscape and was modified by a good number of layers and filters in Photoshop. Then adjusting colors and mixing layers leads us to Mars.

Tangles Two “Tangles Two”

One of my more recognizable images, just weeds and bush branches arranged in tangles and modified with color and outline manipulations.
