Progressive Scanography

I use a scanner to capture the image of a mix of organic matter and sometimes combined with a human face/hands. It is progressive because instead of just capturing the image, it is further manipulated digitally by enhancing the colors, textures and details.

Green King “Green King”

A dear friend volunteer to do this image. We added different materials from organic matter to artificial objects. The colors were an after effect to give it a story to the viewer.

Veggies Natura “Veggies Natura”

This is an example of a purist approach. Purist means that a scanned image is kept at its initial look. However, this version of the image went one more step to give it a spaceship look to it

Adriana III “Adriana III”

This is an example of a progressive version of scanography. The image is captured and then it is manipulated in many levels to the point that my dear friend's daughter looks very different from real life. It is like being a madonna and painted in a surreal version.
