Morton Lancaster

Morton is considered a top artist worldwide. His sculptures are internationally unique.
Morton was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He is a First Family Virginian, his British ancestors sailing to Jamestown in 1619. He is also a great grandson of Native American Pamunkey Indian Chief Opechancanough (b.1554) of the Virginia Powhatan Indians, and a great nephew of Pocahontas.
He studied architecture at Virginia Tech and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Mass Communications.
Morton developed his natural skills in art, design and craftsmanship at various professions. His passion for beautiful woods and art prompted a career change and he began sculpting in 2000. Starting with his first showing in 2007, his work has received top honors in all-media competitions, locally, nationally and internationally..
His sculptures have been published in 4 international art books, the editor placing him first in the book, Important World Artists.
