Photopainting Mosaics

Digital Mosaics-each picture is a composition of about 2000 single pictures
These are composed like a “Photo-collage” using digital photographs, scanned images and sketches. The pictures are worked on in the computer using different filtering and painting processes over many stages until the image is completely transformed. Whilst the new work is based on the original material, the imagination and ability of the artist are crucial in giving this completely new composition its revised statement and form. The technical sophistication of printing allows me to realize the image conceived digitally in the computer on such specially selected materials as Plexiglas, Aluminium, or another metal.
