From a young age, Rebecca Meredith became fascinated with the idea that culturally formed languages shaped expression. The acrobatic mediation of the translator, who straddles two culturally defined languages, experiences a conceptually higher ground. The bird's-eye view and sociologically oriented perspective motivates Meredith's work, which aims to synthesize an experience in consideration of its shaping factors. Working as a fine artist in galleries and through commissions, as a textile designer, illustrator and teacher, Meredith brings this analytical thread to every project.
