Women through my eyes
Men through my eyes
The Cosmos Series focuses on celestial bodies we call stars, objects that humanity has wondered about and observed since the dawn of time.
Now we have large telescopes that can observe and photograph even the distant universe. We know that the light we call stars is actually part of vast galaxies and nebulae containing billions of stars and hundreds of thousands of planets. As we learn more, we realize that the universe is far more expansive than we can imagine and may be full of life forms we will never know. What an extraordinary creation and a perfect cycle. Yes, matter in the universe exists on Earth and in us humans. "Stardust." Yes, we are all part of the universe.
And some moments of this universe come to life in a completely different way on my canvases, through my colors, my brushstrokes—my interpretation. These works are the result of my curiosity and extraordinary interest. I want to instill this same curiosity in you.
Cosmic Birth
In an age when only light and darkness whispered to one another, three colossal pillars
rose from the depths of the universe. These were ancient “cosmic towers,” stretching
thousands of light-years.
At the very peak of the largest pillar, a spark awakened.
Blue and white lights began to merge, like the artist’s energetic brushstrokes laid onto
the canvas. The heart of the pillar started to pulse like the heartbeat of a giant living
being. Then came the great moment. The light that had been imprisoned for millions of
years tore through the blue walls of the pillars and cried out for the first time.
In that instant, a star was born.
Like lightning flashing one after another, new lights began to burst from every corner
of the pillars. The Cosmic Towers were no longer just dark columns of dust; they had
transformed into the most magnificent, radiant chandeliers of the universe, filled with
stars.
This painting tells of an ancient farewell depths of the universe. The
bright yellow mass at the bottom is a massive star that has reached the end of its life.
The crimson form above it is like a cosmic hand reaching down—a nebula waiting to
gather the star’s scattered remnants and shape new worlds.
The artist has applied the brush with firm, deliberate strokes. These marks convey the
chaotic yet mesmerizing power of a cosmic explosion directly to the viewer. As the
paint spreads across the surface, the colors blend into one another in a soft, fluid way,
evoking not a rigid structure but the natural merging of gaseous clouds. In some areas,
the paint has been thinned to preserve the light of the underlying layers, adding both
depth and a sense of lightness to the work.
The bold and harmonious use of color gives the painting a vivid, living spirit.
The reddish-brown center in earthy tones creates a striking contrast with the icy blue
and gray-white clouds surrounding it. This contrast gives the painting both a sense of
warmth and an impression of infinite emptiness. The deep navy and blue transitions in
the corners act like a frame, drawing the viewer’s gaze toward the center.
The artist uses white brushstrokes like light seeping through mist. The brown, with its
grounded and warm character, adds a sense of weight and stability to the core of the
painting. Blue, on the other hand, creates a sense of airy movement and breath around
it. As the rich, earth-scented intensity of brown merges with the coolness of blue, the
painting becomes both deeply mature and vividly dynamic.
Alone, Yet Strong
The deep blue form at the very center—resembling a cloaked figure or a vast
void—seems to embody the “soul” of the painting. Amid the surrounding bursts of
orange and the scattering of bright stars, it stands with quiet dignity and stillness.
The warm orange-red flames below collide with the cool, profound blue above.
There’s a sense in this painting of “journeying from one place to another.” The dark
blue figure at the center feels like a traveler drifting through the endless
universe—maintaining its inner silence despite the explosions and showers of light
around it. The firm lines coming from the left evoke the swift passage of time,
reminding us that stopping is not an option.
Aren’t we all, in the end, solitary travelers on our own paths?
The Fire of Existence
This work feels like a theatrical, dramatic climax. The dominant and pure use of red
brings an incredible sense of passion and high energy to the painting. The vivid red in
the background resembles a stage curtain, or perhaps the hottest nebula at the heart
of the universe—or even a great fire of existence itself.
The contrast between the depth of black and the glowing white stars makes one
reflect: this “traveler” seems to be confronting either their own inner passion or their
destiny.
The intense red chosen by the artist seems to cry out the power of this existence’s
struggle with itself, in order to transform into the next stage of becoming. It feels as
though a moment will come when it suddenly awakens, shakes itself free, and
declares: “This is me.”
Like a Deep Breath
This painting carries more of a sense of “awakening” or “opening.” It feels like a
moment in which the universe briefly pauses, takes a deep breath, and opens a vast
eye. The bright blue at the center is a source—a cosmic origin or refuge, a central
space from which everything is born or into which everything returns.
The surrounding brown and deep purple textures feel like a protective shell preserving
that light. This work is not about “going somewhere,” but about “being there.” It evokes
the feeling of having arrived somewhere and quietly observing the surroundings in a
state of peace.
The shapes reminiscent of human forms reinforce this sensation. The yellow stars also
seem content to be there, as if they are suspended around a luminous lake, simply
enjoying the moment itself.
In this painting, the fiery waves resemble intertwined figures or a soul stretching
upward toward the stars.
Against the dark, dignified, and solemn navy background, the familiar orange-red
flames rise in a far more refined and controlled manner. The human-like silhouette has
transformed into a sacred fire that illuminates the darkness.
The bright white stars placed at the very center and around the fire seem to symbolize
an unwavering hope that never fades in the midst of darkness. The artist’s
brushstrokes are very calm, giving the impression that the painting was created in the
most serene and wise moment of a flowing state.
Life in the universe begins with a silent explosion.
It is neither a true beginning nor an end; only transformation itself.
In this painting, fire does not only burn—it creates.
The crimson energy rising from the darkness carries a form of existence not yet shaped.
Two forms move toward each other.
Though they appear separate, they are born from the same source.
It is the first encounter of an undivided consciousness with itself.
Around them, there are stars.
Some have already faded, yet still carry their light as traces of the past; others are newly born—fragile, trembling, yet full of hope.
Dust, gases, and unseen particles quietly shift within this formation.
Life has not yet been defined.
Life in the universe is an endless movement.
It is born and transforms; nothing truly disappears, it only changes form.
This painting captures a moment from that infinite motion—
a being born within fire, just beginning to feel its own existence.
The pink and coral tones at the center of the painting resemble a gigantic flower in the
heart of the universe, its petals unfolding layer by layer.
The white and yellow beams of light at the top disperse upward into the deep blue void
like the flower’s fragrance or pollen. This creates a sense of “abundant expansion.”
The stars are clearly defined, arranged around the flower like celebratory lights. The
large orange star in the upper right corner feels like a sun observing this entire
formation from above.
The painting feels like a moment filled with calm, joy, and hopeful anticipation of a
beautiful future. Perhaps it represents the “calm after the storm,” still carrying a
powerful inner energy.
