Brandon Porter

Brandon B. Porter is an enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and a registered Choctaw tribal artist. He is of Scottish, English, Choctaw, and Muskogee Creek ancestry. He is a descendant of the Creek Indian Chief William McIntosh. Brandon’s ledger art has been sold to museums and collectors around the country. He is known for his winged serpent ledger art depicting the being known as Sintholo, a mythological creature venerated by the Choctaw ancestors. Aside from ledger art Brandon also hand makes Native American jewelry and hunting bags. He is also an award winning short film director and writer. His silent western 'The Lost Gold of French Creek" has won two awards in international film festivals. Brandon currently lives in Arizona with his wife and six children. His father is also a Choctaw ledger artist.
