RECYCLED GLASS SCULPTURES

posted by NakedArt - sculptures from live models www.NakedArt.co.nz

The thought of using recycled glass, glass that was destined to be buried into the ground, because it was deemed worthless seemed to artists Brent & Shirley Cairns of NakedArt a waste of money and resources. Whilst they are well known around the globe for their life-size sculptures of the human form, nude male and female sculptures in recycled glass proved to a rather difficult task to master. With sales to private collectors and museums in 15 different countries, they are now keen to see what type of person will collect their latest range of glass sculptures, " The person that will collect our latest range of glass sculptures will be the contemporary collector with an environmental friendly outlook on life" claims Brent. Their latest creations can be viewed on their newly revamped website http://glasssculpture.info/

FROM PORTRAIT TO SELF-PORTRAIT

posted by Antonio Nodar

http://p2sp.org/diptychs/ p2sp… was begun in 1996 by Antonio Nodar, when he started photographing artists in black & white and giving them a print onto which they rendered their response in a medium of their choosing. The process resembles a dialogue, where the answer to the question posed by the photographic portrait is given in the treatment it receives at the hands of the artists.
