As a new resident of Sarasota, FL, I was caught off guard by the Dog Days Gallery show at the Art Uptown Gallery. A girlfriend told me about the opportunity to enter and I quickly gathered two pieces and brought them to the gallery. Later that same day, I received a surprise phone call telling me that my steel sculpture, "Curiosity" took 2nd place! What a wonderful introduction to my new local art scene!
