Judy Lawton

I have been painting for about five years and struggling to appreciate anything I have painted. I cannot draw and have always wanted to paint abstract.
I recently attended a 12 week art class and this confirmed that I do not enjoy trying to paint scenes, still life etc. I spoke to the tutor who gave me some tips and hints about abstract painting.
My daughter was visiting an art gallery in Chicago while on holiday there and sent me some pictures of abstract paintings.
This subsequently gave me an idea and I started painting abstracts in July 25. I have renewed my love of painting and enjoy so much what I paint. It has given me a confidence I didn’t have.

These abstracts allow the onlooker to decide what they can see. I hope you find them positive and colourful.
