Full time professional artist living in the New Orleans area. Jim has traveled extensively over the years. He lived in Iran until the Shah was overthrown then moved to Singapore and worked in the jungles of New Guinea and Borneo. He always had pen and ink with him, capturing local culture and landscapes as he worked as a field engineer on exploratory oil and gas wells.

Jim changed medium 12 years ago, moving away from photo realism and into the world of tonalism. Since then, he has not been able to keep up with demand. He usually applies gold or silver leaf to the foreground. Then applies as many as 20 thin washes over a textured canvas. He blends his colors on the canvas and not a pallet. He has been featured several times in American Art Collector, Western Art Collector. Acrylic Artists magazine and Delta Airlines seat pocket magazine. He is currently represented by:
