Jane Kellahan

Jane Kellahan has been painting for 20 years. In 2015 she was selected out of 100 artists worldwide to exhibit at the London Biennale. Her work received a ‘Special Mention’. In 2011, she was placed third at the Biennale of Chianciano in Italy, Peter Gagliardi, Museum Curator said her prize piece was “An excellent and breath-taking painting. The composition soft whilst the light captured is strong and powerful. This painting is definitely as Museum piece. A stimulation work that provokes contemplation.” In 2009 Kellahan won Australia’s prestigious Cricket Art Prize. Kellahan’s sensuous oil paintings have been crafted onto canvas, paper, and wood, creating physically rich works with resonant depth, imbued with light and potency. www.janekellahan.co.nz
