Born in Tokyo in 1944, Kaneko is an oil painter who makes masterful use of various painterly touches to create pieces that are always unique. Her Seimei no shi [Poetry of Life] series is perhaps her most representative work. Not only a talented painter, Kaneko is also quite active as a chanson singer.
