Born in Hiroshima Prefecture. Calligrapher. Toriu creates a wide variety of calligraphic works including ink brush characters, copies of classic texts, kana syllabic characters, sutra copies, and carved characters. Placing deep value on Japanese sensibilities, Toriu desires to help people see the power of calligraphy globally and even cosmically. Toriu also engages in color therapy sessions and calligraphic healing art.
