Wen-Chun (Jenny) Liao is a Taiwanese international artist whose practice explores light, memory, and transformation through abstraction, luminous color, layered materials, and visual storytelling.

Beginning her artistic journey in 2012, Liao founded Gloria Patri Gallery in 2016, reflecting her belief in the power of art to inspire hope and peace. Her work is distinguished by a distinctive visual language, rich materiality, and layered narratives that invite viewers to discover their own perspectives and meanings.

A recurring figure in her work, the Dancing Girl, represents resilience, transformation, freedom, and the courage to move toward light. Often described as a “messenger of light,” she has become a distinctive symbol within Liao’s artistic practice.

Liao’s work has been exhibited internationally at the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) in Barcelona, Le Salon d’Automne in Paris, the Florence Biennale in Italy, and Artexpo New York, as well as at art expos and art fairs in Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. She has received international awards and recognition from Italy, France, and England, with her work featured in newspapers, art magazines, television, and radio.

Her original paintings and limited-edition works are held in private collections internationally. Alongside her studio practice, Liao teaches art and delivers courses and lectures focused on creative inspiration and developing an individual artistic voice at universities and other institutions.
