Katherine Peeke A.A.S (hons) SGFA MA

In experimenting with alternative methods of presentation I strive to test whether an image is anything other than a manipulated illusion or a paradox
of concealment and revelation.

Seeking a greater responsive regard, I endeavour in my practice, to find its voice
through various methodologies of working.

My experience of art and design has been a varied juxtaposing of many disciplines. With positions held in photography, photomicrography, draughtsmanship, graphic- design, illustration and airbrush painting.

An honours graduate in Graphic Design and Advertising from Parsons School of Design in New York.
I have, besides the U.S.A, resided in France, Germany and Singapore, all which have had an influence upon my practice.

I work within a realism vein in painting, linear style in life-studies and urban themes in photography.
Recently graduating with an MA in Drawing from UAL Wimbledon, I focus on exhibiting with recent inclusions: The Society of British Artists, Threadneedle Prize, Mall Gallery, Cork Street, The East West Art Awards, Galleria, Pall Mall (1st place in category), The National Open at Chichester and the Surrey Open at the Lightbox, Woking.

In photography, awards include; ten honourable mentions in the International Photography Awards, Los Angeles and Moscow and Paris with this year obtaining a 3rd place in category, and two finalist achievements in the Photographer's Forum Magazine.
