The beauty and diversity of Mekong Delta region of Vietnam was Anhthuy's homeland before she fled as a refugee during the civil war . She faced an enormous struggle when she restart her life in Canada . Eventhough she does not have any formal artistic training , she has always been inspired to paint the nature beauty of the world that surrounds her .
Anhthuy 's painting of scenic garden and floral pathways convey a romantic view of the world she sees around her . Her passion for painting comes from walks in her garden , traveling , exploring and discovering new place .
Her style flows from a place of freedom , happiness and serenity .Anhthuy's unique wet on wet palette knife layering technique give her art a distinctively rich texture . Her use of vibrant colors enhances the technique's ethereal qualities . This romantic vision of life is a dynamic and evolving one that Anhthuy has sought to share .
