Carolyn Burger

Fifteen years ago I began to take painting classes at our local art league on Marco Island, FL. I loved painting from the very first class, and dove into many more classes and painting outdoors with our Outdoor Painters' group.

Since then I have become active in the local art shows, events and art organizations. It is so much fun to create colorful paintings of our local scenes and wildlife here in southwest Florida. We have beautiful sunsets, birds, beaches, landscapes, and the famous Everglades is a short drive away.

Lately I have begun taking workshops and studying how to paint abstracts. I am always looking for new ideas and approaches to create art.

I have a small studio in my home and participate in local outdoor art shows, gallery shows and online contests. I feel very blessed to be called an artist.

Wildlife

The wildlife in southwest Florida where I live is plentiful with small and large birds and animals. I enjoy painting the beautiful birds which we find at the beach, in the mangroves, and frequently in our front yards.
