I am a self taught, story telling realist, attempting to capture and communicate something of life's precious moments in my paintings of landscapes, portraits and flowers. I love this special place where we live, the stunning Pacific coast of California, the awesome redwoods and fern laced river trails and meadows. Working in watercolor or acrylic, I am drawn to the interplay of light, form and color. It is a creative process, a journey toward discovery and life revealed, hopefully expressed so that others may see and sense it's wonder.
My work has been juried into various venues, including Santa Cruz Open Studios Art Tour, 79th Statewide Irreplaceable Places, International Society of Acrylic Painters, Santa Cruz Art League, and Artisans of Santa Cruz Gallery and can be seen online at:
