I am a Georgian born artist, I immigrated to the U.K. In the early 90's during the political unrest in my country and then again moved to the United States in the early 2000's. I work mostly in the medium of digital art, mixed media and hand drawings. Having a 12 year experience in working as a clinical psychology, and publishing articles on feminism and female sexuality my work is concerned with exploring themes of female power, oppression, diversity, bondage, violence and creativity inherent in our nature. I also enjoy writing short stories and fairy tales and illustrate them, in this medium I explore the themes of collective unconscious as well as my personal mythology through story telling.
This is an exploration of the female archetype across cultures and ages. In this series I wanted to illuminate our reactions and norms around female sexuality and female form as well as exploring themes of bondage, violence and love. Most of these images are created on iPad, some of them are hand drawn and some are mixed media.
