Heidi’s artistic work encompasses the many insights and themes created by her life – many doors leading to “otherness” - places, thoughts, perspectives, awareness, times, opportunities, losses, lives, meanings. Her early interest in architecture and sculpture complemented her artistic development in later years. Heidi’s affinity for multi-dimensional spaces coupled with her inability to be confined to a two dimensional surface lead her to embrace the counterintuitive direction of todays modern philosophy, to literally thinking more inside the box!
The materials are barn wood, deer antlers, found objects, and other relics of ranch life. The subject digs deep into the psyche.
