Tatnall trained in painting and illustration at the University of Delaware, the Art Students League in New York City, and received his MFA in painting from the University of Miami. He has been exhibiting nationally since 1995 including New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Texas, and Miami. Tatnall recenty returned to Miami after six years as a fine art professor at Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas.
