My name is Dominika.
I studied English at the Faculty of Education. Since childhood, I have felt a deep connection to nature, animals, and plants, which often serve as inspiration for my work. Painting for me comes from a daily joy and an inner urge to create — it has become an irreplaceable part of my life.
My artworks are abstract, and I see them as a return to myself — a reflection and mirroring of my emotions. They offer a space for healing expression. I’m drawn to the immediacy and urgency of bold brushstrokes and undefined space. It gives me freedom — the freedom to choose, to be asymmetrical, to embrace imperfection. I don’t aim to create a specific story or a defined form. What matters most to me is being fully present in the process and open to whatever emerges.
Recurring motifs include flowers, bouquets, and leaves. These symbolize my inner movement toward naturalness and a longing for the peace that nature brings me. At times, however, the painting becomes the result of inner tension or dissonance — an energy that I do not see as negative, but rather as a powerful force, giving the work its intensity and momentum.
