Sonja Kotur

Sonja Kotur is a Serbian contemporary visual artist with a degree in Clothing Technology and Garment Engineering.

 

She has been actively engaged in painting since 2023, participating in group exhibitions and artistic projects in Serbia and abroad. Her artistic development has been shaped through independent practice, professional training, and continuous exploration of diverse painting techniques and approaches.

 

Her work explores the relationship between realism, figurative art, and abstract expression, aiming to unite technical precision with emotional depth and symbolic meaning.

 

She holds a Master Craftsman Certificate and a state-recognized qualification in artistic crafts. Her works have been presented at national and international exhibitions, including virtual exhibitions at Le Chien d'Or Gallery in Quebec, Canada, and Thomson Gallery in Zug, Switzerland.

 

She is the recipient of the First Prize for Portrait and the Third Prize for an oil-on-canvas painting. These award-winning works were exhibited during 2025 and 2026, further strengthening the recognition of her artistic practice.

 

Since 2026, she has served as a Painting Assistant within the New Serbian Renaissance movement.
