Valentina Shoba

Location: Belarus

Was born in Mozyr(Gomel region, Belarus) in 1964. In 1982 graduated from Republican Art and music school named after Ivan Akhremchik(Minsk). In 1989 graduated from Belarusian State Academy of Art and Theatre(now Belarusian State Academy of Arts), graphic department, Minsk Belarus. The diploma work - illustrations for the novel by Vladimir Karatkevich «Christ landed in Grodno».
Already back then she adored the city of Grodno which lead to her staying there. Lives in Grodno in a present day.
Since 1991 member of Belarusian Union of Artists, also a member of International guild of Artists since 2001.
Starting 1992 her career as an artist, participating in various exhibitions, art projects and pleners both in Belarus and abroad. Over the years Valentina presented over 50 personal exhibitions in different cities across Europe, Russia and Belarus. Each time presenting new project she manages to fascinate the public, all her personal exhibitions are being covered by mass media.
In total Valentina took part in 154 personal, republican, group and individual exhibitions.
Her artworks are in funds of Belarusian National Art Museum, Grodno historical and archaeological museum, Belarusian Union of Artists, Museum of Modern Art in Minsk, in private collections in Sweden, Britain, Lithuania, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Russia and USA.
In latest years have been awarded the prestigious Prix Taylor (Taylor Prize) during Art Capital week in France at Grand Palais, Paris.
