Lise Duun was born 1966 in Aalborg started painting in 1984.
She has never taking any art lessons.

The thoughts and the light of the day create the mood for the individual painting.

Nature is the source of inspiration, but it is not quite as we know it,
on the other hand, the many color impressions and shapes that are expressed in the paintings.

he motifs are more about producing a very special almost magical atmosphere or mood for a moment in time than to paint a traditional motif.

The paintings are a peculiar mixture of naturalism, spirituality and utopia. The motif at first look individual, but can be seen again and again and touch your imagination.
They do not preach any kind of religion and they do not moralize.
Behind this lies at great deal of work and many hours and thoughts. These thoughts come down on the canvas, but can not always be explained in words.

The paintings are painted with oil paint or acrylic paint.

The Lost World

In this oil painting, the artist sought to evoke a sense of cosmic wonder and poignant solitude. The interplay of vibrant cosmic hues against the stark landscape suggests an ethereal, otherworldly journey. Two silhouetted figures stand contemplatively, dwarfed by the vastness yet connected to the universe, symbolized by the glowing tree and the distant Earth. It's a piece laden with introspection, inviting the viewer into a serene, introspective space within their home.

Chasing Butterflies “Chasing Butterflies”

In this oil painting, the artist immersed herself in the whimsical dance of nature. Capturing the innocent wonder of a young girl, I strive to evoke the nostalgic tranquility of chasing dreams amidst life's fleeting moments. With each stroke, she infused the scene with a serene enchantment, gently inviting viewers into a world where curiosity leads and every brush of a butterfly's wing touches the soul. Bringing this piece into your space, you'll embrace a daily reminder of the gentle, vibrant pulse of life's simple beauties

The Sound of Peace and Silence

In this tranquil oil painting, the artist captured the essence of serenity—a lone boat on a still waterway, flanked by whispers of greenery, and a soft, inviting glow from the clarity of the sky. It's an emotive embrace of peace and contemplation, designed to draw the viewer into a moment of reflective silence. Its energy will infuse any space with a calm, restorative presence

Seek the Truth in the Light

In this creation, the artist poured emotions into every brushstroke, blending oils to craft a scene where nature meets dreams. The solitary tree stands defiant against time, while the bridge invites onlookers to traverse beyond the known. Above, a lone Owl soars, symbolizing freedom and the pursuit of higher aspirations. This artwork is an ode to resilience and hope, designed to infuse a space with the energy of endless possibilities and the warmth of sunlight breaking through life's uncertainty.
