Singapore born artist Chia Chor Hua's passion for the arts had been cultivated since his childhood and his schooling days. However, due to financial difficulties within his family, he was only able to pursue it in earnest in 1997 and has since been painting for over two decades. He became a full time artist after retiring from his Civil Service in 2017. His style and work bears a distinct trait - bold strokes with intense colours: strokes are layered over one another to emphasize their values whilst developing visual perspectives. He had exhibited his artworks in many countries , thus earning him many awards and recognitions both locally and internationally.
