Katia Holmes

I am an artist who specializes in photo-realistic art, working in pastels as the main medium.
I work on a commission basis for private clients. I paint highly detailed portraits of pets, horses, wildlife, kids, and people from customers' photographs.
I am based in Norton Canes, Cannock, Staffordshire.
I have always loved animals and had a passion for art but in 2018 we rescued a little doggy called Teddy, I couldn't resist trying to paint him. Once I'd finished my husband said I should do this for a living. Hence PETS PAWTRAITS BY KATIA.
I send my paintings worldwide but I am so grateful to local customers from Cannock and the surrounding areas who keep supporting me as an artist.
Also, I have a great collaboration with local wildlife photographers Bob Whorton, Suzie Bradbury, and Ann Wright who kindly let me use their fantastic wildlife photographs as references for my artwork.
In May - June 2022 I had my first personal art exhibition at the Museum of Cannock Chase, which gave me an incredible experience and joy.

Animal art

There is a sense of peace and tranquility that comes from painting animals. When I am painting, I feel like I am transported to another world, where all that matters is the beauty of the animal in front of me. I can lose myself in the details of their fur, the shape of their eyes, or the way they move.
It is a way to create something beautiful that will bring joy to others
