Aaron is largely influenced by outdoor settings, a product of growing up in northern Ontario. Aaron had a successful career in the military for over twenty years, prior to moving onto work with satellite technologies. Living in Canada's capital city, Ottawa, Aaron enjoys any outdoor activity, but most of all, spending time with his wife and 3 teenaged children. Although always artistically inclined, it wasn't until later in life that he dove into the world of painting. He is drawn to paintings that have unique style, a degree of realism, but clearly have a painterly approach. He is in awe of artists who have an efficiency with their brush strokes and drawn to pieces of art that create mood and atmosphere. The subject of his art tends to gravitate to landscape settings that simply inspire him, although portraiture is also becoming a bigger influence in his projects. Particularly for commission work, Aaron's motivation feeds off the pleasure others find in his artwork, knowing that he played a role in that happiness.
